I’ve stepped away from jewelry for a bit and have been working with creating glamour masks and “SPIRIT” DOLLS from clay and excess found objects AND playing with canvas collages.   Check out my pages to see more.

Multi Chain go with anything piece
Wild Wired Woman shelf sitter
Driftwood with face wall art
Zentangle Shoe Card
Silver pendant and tubes on leather
Colored Zentangle Note card
Wild Wired Woman on Wine bottle
New Silver Statement piece

It is September!  I’ve been busy, spending my time creating wire ladies, jewelry, note cards, and other artwork. Pieces are posted on my Facebook page and on my website frequently, but I’ve let this blog slide.  I’ve found a new source for wonderful unique jewelry findings and enjoyed Iowa sunshine while searching for driftwood along the  Mississippi.  The driftwood pieces are a fun, creative challenge. My note cards are displayed @ Gotta Have It Boutique and I am in the process of showcasing jewelry at another local Iowa shop. I had my first Iowa Open House and will have a display at the Thunder Hills Ladies Fall Dinner & Fashion Show next month.  We’ve also been enjoying Iowa family, friends, and beautiful weather.  Be sure to check out my complete site, and contact me with any questions or comments.

They’re new, they’re quirky, they bring a new personality to any room or shelf. Completely wrapped wire with hand-painted clay faces, individualized with hair-dos and jewelry and charms. No two are alike. Most are 10″ high. Sitting sculptures can sit on a shelf or surface and don’t need the black cube. See more on the “Clay, kiln and wire” tab.

Something NEW!

This piece was designed from pieces of leather, coiled/twisted copper wire, beads, feathers with layered ribbons, cord, rope, chain and found objects. Center art is a torn watercolor abstract painting covered in gel, then everything was wrapped around a painted piece of driftwood. It was so fun to create and I can’t wait to make another.

My first children’s book!

It’s finished! My children’s book has been published and is available on Amazon. The illustrations by Tim Read are wonderful and bring my characters to life telling an ageless tale of Izzy’s trials and triumphs of moving into a new neighborhood. I am so happy to have accomplished something I’ve always wanted to do by telling a story every child (and adult) can learn from and enjoy. Follow the link below to see more
