ABOUT ME

Spending my time between Iowa & Florida - Family & Friends - Art & Tee Times

I have always had a creative mind, and enjoy exploring many ways of expressing my artistic visions.  Currently my medium of choice is watercolor, but I will always love water-based oil and also acrylic, experimenting with additives, textures, and techniques.   I also started creating wire figures and enjoy wrapping these ladies and finding new ways to bring out their personalities while painting their faces and  posing them.  With my additional experience in jewelry making, I fashion wire, chains and gem stones into unique jewelry statements.  Cross-medium creating has allowed me to feel like an “artist without borders”, combining elements that inspire me into unique art pieces.

During the past few years, I have been displaying my art in various art fairs in Fort Myers, Florida, and in Iowa.   I also host an open house in my home at least twice a year where I show-case my paintings, wire figures and especially my jewelry.  Both of my homes have an “Come in, the artist’s loft is open” sign, so friends and acquaintances often stop in looking for a unique necklace for an event or gifts.

I live a very fortunate life and am forever grateful for the opportunities that surround me.

Creativity is...seeing something that doesn't exist already. You need to find out how you can bring it into being and that way be a playmate with God.

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
